Crime: Nothing Was About At the In-N-Out

A surprising lack of activity raised suspicion about Rancho Santa Margarita's newest burger joint.

A local resident stopped by In-N-Out Burger on Sunday but noticed something was strangely amiss.

The lights were on, but nobody was home.

According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the popular restaurant—open late seven days a week—was instead locked down tight.

Deputies filled in the blanks less than a minute after being dispatched. Wendy's, perhaps?

A business with a strong Christian core—check out the Bible verse on the bottom lip of the cups—it was closed.

For Easter.

For what it's worth, bank on it being closed Christmas, too.

The suspicious circumstances call was made Sunday, 9:52 p.m., from the 30100 block of Santa Margarita Parkway.
