Sound Advice for A Neighborhood Altercation

A verbal altercation takes place when a man defends his wife's honor.

Go inside and stop arguing.

That was the message an Orange County Sheriff's Department 9-1-1 operator delivered to a Rancho Santa Margarita man who called to inform police that he was engaged in a verbal altercation with a neighbor.

The reason? The neighbor called the informant's wife bad names, according to the blotter of the OCSD.

The original call was for disturbing the peace, but was later changed to an information report.

The neighbors' feud got off to an early start: the call came Tuesday at 9:24 a.m., from Via Cordoba.

This report was culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report may differ from the original blotter item. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
