This Child Isn't Made from the Stuff of Legend

A man wants his son to learn a skill, but someone in the neighborhood says there's no crying in action sports.

A man in Las Flores apparently wants his son to grow up to be Tony Hawk, the iconic skateboarder who excelled at the X Games and as a video game pitchman for his line of action-related games.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department received a phone call Monday, about 5  p.m., from a resident who apparently has no appreciation for trying to mold a child into a shredder legend.

The informant reported that a male, possibly the father of a young child, keeps putting the youngster on a skateboard, and that the child keeps crying because being on the skateboard is scaring him.

The call came from the 200 block of Sable.

These reports are culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report may differ from the original blotter item. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
