UPDATED: One Injured in Cabin, Brush Fires Near Trabuco Canyon
Authorities evacuated residents near the fire and closed roads.
One man was injured in a set of fires near Trabuco Canyon on Wednesday night, according to Orange County Fire Authority officials. Two cabins were burned and there were three small brush fires near Holy Jim Trail, officials said.
The man, who was in one of the two cabins that burned, received first and second degrees burns to his arms, according to Capt. Steve Concialdi of the OCFA. It was earlier reported that the cabins were unoccupied. Authorities are still unclear about the connection between the man and the cabin.

The firefighters were able to contain the blaze to two acres, and 50 firefighters will remain through the night to mop up and to battle any flare ups, Concialdi said.
The cabin fires were reported at 6:04 p.m. and were extinguished about 45 minutes later, he said. Orange County Sheriff and the California Highway Patrol were evacuating nearby cabins and authorities have closed Live Oak Canyon and Trabuco Creek roads leading into Holy Jim Canyon, according to Concialdi.
Three strike teams were called to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
