Late-night crying has neighbors calling 9-1-1.
The loud screams and crying that pierced the Tijeras Creek neighborhood late Thursday attracted the attention of residents who made a beeline for their telephones.
Orange County Sheriff's Department was contacted by an informant who said children could be heard crying at their Sendero street residence. The informant was worried that a man who was distraught over a recent divorce might be unstable and hurting his children.
Another call came about 15 minutes later, supporting the same story. That informant indicated the children at the location were too old to be crying for no reason.
