Trabuco Man Sentenced for Attempted Sex with Suspected Prostitute

The 44-year-old will receive three years' probation and other penalties.

A 44-year-old Trabuco Canyon man pleaded guilty and was sentenced Thursday for loitering with the intent to engage in sex with a prostitute.

Wesley Douglas House will serve three years informal probation or 10 days in jail that could be replaced by community service with the California Department of Transportation, according to a release from the Orange County District Attorney's office.

House also must submit to AIDS testing and education.

"At approximately 7:00 p.m. on June 13, 2013, House stopped his car in a known prostitution area on Beach Boulevard and Central Avenue in Stanton," the DA release states. "He engaged in a brief conversation with a woman, whom he believed to be a prostitute, through his car window and urged her to enter his vehicle. A nearby Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) deputy observed the woman enter the defendant’s vehicle and pulled over the defendant as they drove away."

This case was prosecuted by the Orange County District Attorney’s Human Exploitation And Trafficking Unit, which in part, targets sex trafficking.
