Woman Struck by Cab But Apparently OK
No visible injuries after being hit while crossing the road.

A pedestrian was struck by a taxi cab early Wednesday evening while crossing the intersection at Melinda Road and Santa Margarita Parkway.
According to Lt. Tim Rainwater of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the victim had no visible injuries but had been knocked to the ground and was complaining of pain.
Witness Margot Ferron said the victim was a woman, though Rainwater could not confirm it. She also said the woman was walking her dog. To see Ferron's account, click here.
The victim was taken to Saddleback Hospital. Major trauma cases are taken to Mission Hospital.
The call was made at 6:34 p.m.
