A Year In and City Manager Says Things Are Boss

City business leaders have an opportunity to meet Jennifer Cervantez, Rancho Santa Margarita's No. 1 administrator.

By Martin Henderson

Almost a year to the day that Jennifer Cervantez took over as the city manager of Rancho Santa Margarita, she was feted Thursday by the RSM Chamber of Commerce.

The "Meet the City Manager" event included comments by Cervantez, who replaced Steve Hayman on July 9, 2012, after an exhaustive search, and an opportunity for local business leaders to meet the woman who is essentially the city's chief executive officer.

The event took place at Dove Canyon Golf Club, and Cervantez provided an update on the state of the city (it's in great shape) and gave her impression of it after leaving her position as the No. 2 person in La Habra.

"It's a delightful community to work for with a lot of promise and a terrific future," Cervantez said.

Watch the video to hear from Cervantez directly and see photos from the event.
