Supreme Court Refuses to Hear Birther Case

Judges refuse to consider the appeal of the challenge that started with Orly Taitz and is now in the hands of Gary Kreep, who insists President Barack Obama is not a U.S. citizen.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to take up an appeal of a Ramona-based attorney who has lost lower-court challenges to Barack Obama's presidency based on a claim Obama wasn't born in the United States.

The case originated with and Ramona-based lawyer Gary G. Kreep.

Taitz, who represented military officers who questioned whether they should follow the commander in chief's orders, left the case after U.S. District Court Judge David O. Carter threw the lawsuit out and an appellate court rejected it.

Kreep—who represents the Rev. Wiley Drake, an Orange County clergyman and the vice presidential nominee of the American Independent Party in 2008, and Markham Robinson, the chairman of the American Independent Party—kept the appeal going up to the nation's high court.

Kreep said he has "two more cases in the pipeline,"  based on arguments that the major political parties do not do anything to properly determine whether a candidate is legally eligible for the White House.

"They have no incentive to do so. They just want someone to win,'' Kreep said.

Although the president last year released his long-form birth certificate to convince his doubters, Kreep continues to think it's not a legitimate document.

Officials in Hawaii, including Democratic and Republican governors, have said the birth certificate is legitimate. There was also a birth announcement at the time in the local newspaper.

The Annenberg Public Policy Institute and CNN have also conducted investigations that determined the birth documents are legitimate. Carter ruled in 2009 that a court was not the proper place to challenge a president's election, which echoed a similar ruling from a federal judge in Georgia.

The judge in Georgia fined Taitz $20,000 for "frivolous" litigation.

Obama is obviously a US citizen, since his mother was a US citizen. The “Birthers” apparently believe that the entire Republican & Democratic Parties, the FBI, CIA plus the US Supreme Court are ALL in a massive conspiracy to defraud the US voters. They cannot handle the simpler truth that their candidate lost.

Frank, you are ruining all the fun for the rest of us. Please don't confuse us with facts.
Beside, how in the heck would Gary G. Kreep (like that's a real name) get on CNN and FNC if it were not for this topic. I mean, do you think he could sing or dance? I don't think The Bachelorette looks like a strong possibility either. Dear The OC Patch Staff - Please come up with new material. Maybe a closer look at what Octomom is up to? How about better coverage of the Real Housewives of Coto? Both OC angles. Come on, mix it up a little.

So if Obama is a natural born citizen, why did he receive a foreign student scholarship to go to Columbia? If Obama has a legitimate Hawaiian birth certificate, why did he present a forged birth certificate to the people of the United States? Why does Obama use someone else's Social Security number? Why does Obama have a forged Selective Service card? Why did Obama use a foreign passport to visit Pakistan in 1981?

Not an Obama fan, but prove everything you just posted Jerry. This is a scary election year as both of the front "runners" have egos that don't match issues that really matter. Both of them sound like high school prom kings that know how to give good speaches. Now is not the time to belittle people's intelligence with myth unless you can prove and not just ask "why". Do your homework and then post.
