Readers' Choice: Nominate Your Favorite Donut Shop

Let's face it, Rancho Santa Margarita doesn't have a Krispy Kreme, but that doesn't mean the donut icon has the market cornered on taste. There are donuts available in the RSM area, and Patch wants to find out where the best ones are found.

What drives you back to a particular place to purchase Homer Simpson's favorite food?

Is it all about the original? The glaze? The specialty donut? Or maybe coffee is key?

We'll be taking nominations until July 9 for the best donuts in RSM, Las Flores and Trabuco Canyon. It's easy to make a nomination: Just make a comment below. Tell us the best donut shop and why you like them. And, if by chance you see your choice already "nominated," go ahead and comment anyway. You could be influencing other voters, and who knows, maybe you'll get that baker's dozen the next time you visit.

Once the nominations close, we'll put together a mega-poll and provide you an opportunity to vote on the Patch Readers Choice Awards where we can all enjoy the best of RSM.
