Adult Wildlife Research Camp

Camp hours are from 10 a.m. Saturday to noon Sunday or 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to noon Sunday for those not staying overnight.

During camp, participants will learn about the techniques used to study amphibians and reptiles in the field. 

The Saturday morning lecture will include an introduction to their biology, identification and natural history. After lunch, campers will focus their attention on a tadpole survey of Bell Creek. In the evening, campers will conduct a nighttime herp survey in Bell Canyon that may include night driving and frog hunting depending on the condition of our streams and weather.

Sunday morning, a comparison of herp diversity in several Ranch habitats will be conducted using live trapping arrays.
