Full Plate Scheduled for A Taste of the Hills

The Saturday event at Trabuco Hills High will benefit the school's PTSA. Food, shopping, music and a classic car show—Mustangs, anyone?—will highlight the event.

Fans of food and fun have it good right now. A week after RanchoFest in Rancho Santa Margarita, is hosting its "A Taste of the Hills" event at the school on Saturday with music, an auction and a classic car show—with an emphasis on Ford Mustangs—carrying the day.

But the primary emphasis is on food, and the free event will include 16 local restaurants that will provide tastings of their specialties; nothing is more than $4.

Participating restaurants are: , , , , , , , , , Piccolini’s, , Chili’s, Mustard Cafe, Bianoio’s, and Rendezvous Care.

The Mustang Roundup and Classic Car Show begins at noon and continues to 5 p.m., when the -sponsored event will name the Best Mustang and Best Overall Cool Car. Attendees will vote on those awards.

The event proper begins at 2 p.m. and continues through 7 p.m. and benefits the Trabuco Hills PTSA, which supports the school and students with technology, classroom mini-grants, student & parent programs.

Continuous live music will be provided throughout the day, too, with music by the Trabuco Hills High Jazz Ensemble, and Trabuco Hills’ favorites such as June Sings July, Elephant in the Room, Happy Mess, , Zack Fenske’s Band and Earlmeister Fabian, along with a DJ.

A silent auction and raffle will run throughout the day, as well as shopping for the Vendor Show Center with more than 30 merchants participating.
