SMCHS to Have 'Food Truck Festival' on Saturday

The event will help raise funds for the school and various groups. DJ, games will also be offered.

For those seeking a taste of the road, Santa Margarita Catholic is the place to be on Saturday.

The high school will host a Food Truck Festival fundraiser to benefit the school's general operating fund, as well as student clubs and organizations.

Food trucks scheduled to attend are: A Bite Truck, a California fusion cuisine inspired by culinary traditions from around the world; Barcelona OnTheGo, which uses traditional Spanish recipes with Latin influences, modern cooking techniques, and local products; Meringue Bake Shop, featuring their custom tailored cupcakes, dessert bars, and famous PushCakes; Kona Ice, which delivers tasty shaved ice.

Entertainment by a DJ, games and prizes run by 15 school clubs, as well as a Pumpkin City’s pumpkin patch will also be part of the festivities.

Adult admission is $5 and admission for children 12 and under is $2; there is a nominal charge for games.

The event begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m.
