The Santa Margarita Water District (SMWD) is seeking interested candidates to fill
the Board of Directors seat left vacant by the recent departure of Roger
Faubel.

Interested parties are to submit a letter of interest and resume summarizing
qualifications and background to the Santa Margarita Water District office
located at 26111 Antonio Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita. Letters of interest

Viejo, CA  92690-7005 or emailed to HumanResources@swmd.com.

Letters of interest and resumes must be received by the District before 3 p.m. on
Monday, June 3, 2013.  All letters and resumes will be forwarded to the SMWD Board on June 4, and all interested individuals are invited to attend the Board meeting on June 14 to hear a brief presentation on the District and a discussion about the role of the Board members in setting policy.  Each individual will then be given five minutes to address the Board regarding their qualifications and interest to serve as a Board member.  Board members may ask questions of individuals upon conclusion of each presentation.

members are expected to attend all regular board meetings, which are held on
the second and third Fridays of each month at 7:30 a.m., and the fourth
Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the District’s headquarters.  Board members also attend meetings with other public agencies as approved by the SMWD Board.
