Basketball Finals: Championsihip Schedule includes El Toro, SMCHS

The Southern Section releases the championship schedule for boys and girls basketball.

Santa Margarita Catholic will try to bring its remarkable turnaround to a championship-winning conclusion on Thursday when it plays for the Southern Section Division 3AA title.

The fifth-seeded Eagles will play second-seeded La Verne Damien on Thursday, 8:15 p.m., at the Anaheim Convention Center Arena. They had lost 11 consecutive games heading into the playoffs.

Another south Orange County team will also play at the arena. Top-seeded El Toro, which defeated Crescenta Valley on Tuesday, will play for the championship against second-seeded Santa Monica on Saturday, 6 p.m.

Tickets ranging from $7 to $13, will be on sale at participating schools beginning Wednesday morning.

I'm still waiting for the teachers to produce a receipt for purchases made with MY money.Read More Asking/requiring donations of $20-25.00 a head in a 32 kid classroom is a nice $800.00 potential windfall of which I see nothing of where that $$ is spent.
