Bohaboy's Hat Trick Leads Santa Margarita Past Woodbridge, 5-0
Senior's three goals were more than enough to help Santa Margarita advance to the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 girls soccer playoffs.
Lauren Bohaboy scored three goals -- at 21, 39 and 78 minutes -- to help Trinity League champion Santa Margarita to a 5-0 victory over Woodbridge in a first-round game of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs Thursday afternoon at Santa Margarita High.
Sam Trenary scored at the 55-minute mark and at 61 minutes, Bohaboy was fouled in the box. Her penalty kick was blocked but the ball bounced to Taylor Krebs, who put it in goal.
Goalkeeper Devin Marlinga had 13 saves and Lauren Wooten one for Woodbridge, while Haley Guerrero had one for Santa Margarita.

The Eagles (22-4-2) advance to the second round on Tuesday, when they will meet the winner of the Hart vs. Harvard-Westlake first-round game. Woodbridge, the third-place team in the Pacific Coast League, finished 8-9-6.
