Football: Advance Tickets On Sale for Santa Margarita-El Toro Clash

One of the marquee games in the first round of the playoffs should attract a huge crowd.

Tickets went on sale beginning today for the football game Friday between Santa Margarita Catholic and El Toro.

It's a first-round playoff game in the Southern Section Pac-5 Division playoffs, and it pits a defending champion against a finalist.

Santa Margarita (8-2) won the Pac-5 title last season before winning the State Division I Bowl Championship, and have many players returning but are without injured quarterback Johnny Stanton, who was lost for the season after Game 5.

El Toro (9-1) was a finalist last year in the Southwest Division, losing to Tustin, and also has a number of players back, including its quarterback, Conner Manning. El Toro was moved into the South Coast League this season, thus the new division for the Chargers.

Advance tickets are available at El Toro today and Thursday, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at Santa Margarita today through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the third floor of the athletic building.

For those unable to get tickets, the game will be broadcast on Fox Sports West with kickoff shortly after 7:30 p.m.
