South Coast League: Undefeated Diablos take a 47-0 lead in less than 14 minutes, making short work of El Toro.

Mission Viejo capped its undefeated run to a fifth consecutive South Coast League championship by putting a licking on El Toro. The Diablos scored 34 points in less than nine minutes to open the game. Needless to say, after that, it was a breeze.

Mission Viejo, ranked No. 1 in Orange County and No. 9 in the nation in the computer-based Freeman ratings at Maxpreps, will open the Southern Section Pac-5 playoffs next week as the second-seeded team, behind Bellflower St. John Bosco.

The playoff pairings will be announced on Sunday. Tesoro is the second-place team from the South Coast League and will also make the playoffs. El Toro finished fourt, behind Trabuco Hills, and is done for the season.
