Football: OC Top 10 and Patch's Vote After Week 6

There's a new member of the Orange County football elite.

Martin Henderson of Patch.com votes in the weekly Orange County Top 10 Football Poll in cooperation with the Orange County Register.

Below is Henderson's vote following the third weekend of prep football, and below that is this week's OC Top 10 based on the votes of 10 media members; each first-place vote among the 10 voters is worth 10 points, each second-place vote is worth 9 points, etc

1. Santa Margarita (6-0, 100 points)

New quarterback, same results as Eagles stay undefeated with 21-0 victory over Servite. Next: vs. Mater Dei at Saddleback College, Friday.

2. Mission Viejo (6-0, 87 points)

Diablos, who had their bye last week, have county-leading average margin of victory of 36 points. Next: At San Clemente, Friday.

3. Mater Dei (5-1, 76)

Monarchs averaged 9 yards a carry in 42-10, Trinity League victory over JSerra. Next: vs. Santa Margarita at Saddleback College, Friday.

4. Tesoro (6-0, 75)

Titans rallied to beat Trabuco Hills, 35-28, in South Coast League opener. Next: vs. El Toro at Trabuco Hills High, Friday.

5. Edison (5-1, 60)

Chargers held Newport Harbor to 54 rushing yards on 22 carries in 35-0 victory. Next: vs. Los Alamitos at Veterans Stadium, Friday.

6. El Toro (7-0, 49)

Jacob Furnari rushed for four touchdowns, Conner Manning threw for three in 49-37 victory over San Clemente. Next: vs. Tesoro at Trabuco Hills High, Friday.

7. Tustin (7-0, 38)

Tillers beat Pacifica, 56-0, to go to 3-0 in Empire League, push their average margin of victory to 31 points. Next: vs. Cypress at Western High, Friday.

8. Orange Lutheran (5-1, 32)

Lancers lost Trinity League opener to St. John Bosco, No. 12 team in the state, 21-6. Next: vs. Servite at Orange Coast College, Friday.

9. Servite (2-4, 14)

Friars blanked by Santa Margarita, 21-0, for third shutout loss in four weeks. Next: vs. Orange Lutheran at Orange Coast College, Friday.

10. Villa Park (5-1, 10)

Spartans make top 10 debut after beating last week's No.10 team, Foothill, 25-21 in big Century League game. Next: vs. El Dorado at Valencia High, Thursday.

I'm still waiting for the teachers to produce a receipt for purchases made with MY money.Read More Asking/requiring donations of $20-25.00 a head in a 32 kid classroom is a nice $800.00 potential windfall of which I see nothing of where that $$ is spent.
