Football: OC Top 10 and Patch's Vote After Week 7

Where do Santa Margarita and Tesoro land after losing, who's No. 1, and what about Servite?

Martin Henderson of Patch.com votes in the weekly Orange County Top 10 Football Poll in cooperation with the Orange County Register.

Below is Henderson's vote following Week 7—which is actually the eighth weekend of the prep football season—and below that is this week's OC Top 10 based on the votes of 10 media members; each first-place vote among the 10 voters is worth 10 points, each second-place vote is worth 9 points, etc

Big-play defense, versatile offense made things happen in 24-7 victory over Santa Margarita. Next: vs. Bellflower St. John Bosco at Santa Ana Stadium, Friday. 

3. El Toro (8-0, 75)

Yes, they can hang in the South Coast as proven in 41-31 victory over Tesoro. Next: at Trabuco Hills, Friday. 

4. Edison (6-1, 68)

Hard-charging running game leads Chargers to second-half blastoff in a 24-14 victory over Los Alamitos. Next: vs. Marina at Huntington Beach High, Friday. 

5. Santa Margarita (6-1, 67)

Of course, the Eagles missed injured quarterback Johnny Stanton in 24-7 loss to Mater Dei. Next: vs. Orange Lutheran at Orange Coast College, Friday. 

6. Tesoro (6-1, 45)

Nate Tago rushed for 320 yards, but Titans defense just another Conner Manning victim in 41-31 loss to El Toro. Next: vs. Mission Viejo, Friday. 

7. Orange Lutheran (6-1, 35)

Tavi Jimmerson's running and tough defense led Lancers to historic, first victory over Servite, 28-14. Next: vs. Santa Margarita at Orange Coast College, Friday. 

8. Tustin (8-0, 45)

When leaves fall, Tillers' scoring goes up—119 points over two October games. 
Next: vs. Western, Oct. 25. 

9. Villa Park (6-1, 12)

Spartans close in on Century League title with 50-34 victory over El Dorado.

I'm still waiting for the teachers to produce a receipt for purchases made with MY money.Read More Asking/requiring donations of $20-25.00 a head in a 32 kid classroom is a nice $800.00 potential windfall of which I see nothing of where that $$ is spent.
