Football: Tesoro 48, Chula Vista 7

Nonleague: Titans get a big night from Jon Rivera and a good tuneup for the Pac-5 playoffs.

The schedule played out that Tesoro had a bye week in the South Coast League schedule this week, so the Titans played a nonleague game with visiting Chula Vista.

They weren’t particularly hospitable hosts, building a 35-0 halftime lead en route to a 48-7 victory.

The Titans, who finished second to Mission Viejo in league, will be part of the Southern Section Pac-5 playoffs that begin next week.
