Football: Trabuco Hills 21, San Clemente 17

South Coast League: Mustangs send San Clemente to their eighth straight loss; maintain flicker of hope for playoffs.

Trabuco Hills had a disappointing season with a third-place finish in the South Coast League, but the Mustangs ended on a high note with a come-from-behind victory over San Clemente on Friday.

The Mustangs are technically eligible to receive one of two at-large berths for the Southern Section Pac-5 playoffs, but their 28-26 loss to Santa Margarita will likely keep them from being selected; Santa Margarita finished sixth in the Trinity League and two teams vying for the berths from that league, Orange Lutheran and JSerra, both scored victories over the Eagles.
