Reader Submission: Eagles Set PRs During Track and Field Defeat

Individual performances shine through for host Santa Margarita during its first Trinity League loss of season to St. John Bosco.

Dodging the latest cold weather pattern Wednesday, the Santa Margarita Eagles' boys track and field team (2-1) lost its first Trinity League match of the season to the league-leading Braves (3-0) of St. John Bosco Thursday at Santa Margarita High.

Outmatched in nearly every field event, the odds of pulling off a team upset were slim. With team goals set aside, the Eagles turned their sights to individual performances and new personal bests, which were achieved by senior Logan Sweet and sophomores Jason Engel and Ryan Robbibaro.
