Santa Margarita Alum Bohaboy Off to Quick Start at Notre Dame
The state player of the year as a senior at Santa Margarita Catholic, Lauren Bohaboy is having no problem fitting in with Notre Dame—and by fitting in, we mean scoring goals.
She was one of the state's best players as a senior at Santa Margarita Catholic High last winter, and Lauren Bohaboy is finding that college soccer isn't much different.
Bohaboy, a freshman at Notre Dame, has scored five goals in her first six games in the Big East Conference and is tied with two others for the scoring lead; she is tied for third in points with 10.
On Sept. 23, in a televised game against South Florida, the Mission Viejo resident was named the Fox Soccer Channel Player of the Game.

On Monday, Bohaboy was named the Big East rookie of the week.
Notre Dame (6-5-2 overall, 3-2-1 in the Big East) is currently third in the conference's National Division behind Georgetown (10-4-0 4-2-0) and Louisville (5-5-3, 3-1-2).
