Santa Margarita High's boys lacrosse team kept its slim playoff hopes alive on Tuesday evening with an 11-10 overtime victory at Trinity League rival Servite in Anaheim. The Eagles (4-7, 2-2 in league) relinquished a 10-7 lead in the fourth quarter, allowing the Friars to tie the score at 10 in the contest's final minute.
After a defensive stop on the first possession of overtime, Santa Margarita salvaged a victory when freshman Mitchell Kingsley slipped past Servite defenders and scored the game-winner (caught on video). The Eagles have won consecutive games for the first time this season.
