Soccer Coaches Names Bohaboy to All-America Team for Second Year in a Row

Santa Margarita's senior midfielder/forward continues to garner honors for exceptional soccer play.

Senior Lauren Bohaboy, who led Santa Margarita's girls soccer team to the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Division I quarterfinals last season, was recently honored as one of 12 members of the National Soccer Coaches Assn. of America's 2010 Girls High School All-America Soccer Team for the second consecutive year.

The association also named her California' female player of the year and to the Youth All-America Soccer Team.

Bohaboy, whose hometown is Mission Viejo, has committed to Notre Dame, which won the NCAA women's national championship this season.

She has led Santa Margarita to an 18-3-1 record this season. The Eagles are ranked No. 1 in the county by the O.C. Register and No. 2 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 coaches' poll of Jan. 10. Santa Margarita looks to run its Trinity League record to 4-0 when it travels to Mater Dei for its next game on Monday, Jan. 24.
