Soccer Playoffs: Roundup of Friday Games

Santa Margarita upsets top-seeded Corona del Mar in the marquee game. All four Division 1 semifinalists are from South County.

Locked in a scoreless duel with the clock ticking toward the final minutes of their Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinal, a couple of twins took over.

And you know what they say about twins. What one can start, the other can finish.

And so Santa Margarita sophomore Taylor Klawunder took a crossing pass from her twin sister Kaitlin and cut loose. Not only did Taylor blast the ball past goalkeeper Sarah Cox for a goal, but blasted top-seeded Corona del Mar right out of the playoffs.
