Peter Vidmar Recalls His Olympic Moment

The former gold medalist, a Coto de Caza resident, talks about being an Olympian, failing, and what it takes to succeed. Also, he talks about perspective.

Peter Vidmar has been a busy guy the last few weeks. Sandwiched between the U.S. Olympic Trials in San Jose and the Summer Olympics that began Friday in London, Vidmar was the featured speaker in Rancho Santa Margarita at the annual Relay For Life event that raised funds for the American Cancer Society.

Vidmar used the opportunity to talk about cancer, citing 1984 Olympic wrestler member Jeff Blatnick in his motivational talk, and sharing the challenge of Olympic competition.
