Rancho Santa Margarita Men Recognized for Saving Friend's Life
Jeff Lewey and Danny Lisch helped save the life of their friend; they were recognized at the Rancho Santa Margarita City Council meeting on Wednesday.
They were called heroes and they were thanked by community leaders, but it paled to the simple fact that their friend stood alongside them at the most recent City Council meeting.
Jeff Lewey and Danny Lisch received recognition from the city of Rancho Santa Margarita, the Orange County Fire Authority and state assemblyman Jeff Miller, yet the awards weren't the most important thing.
Ron Shimaji stood at the side of Lewey and Lisch in the RSM council chambers while the men received their accolades.

After the three men took a bike ride, Shimaji collapsed; Lewey and Lisch provided CPR, and their effort is credited with helping save Shimaji's life.
