• Tuesday is the meeting of the Saddleback Valley Toastmasters at Carrow's Restaurant in Laguna Hills. Click here for more details.

• It's a bit of a drive, but it may be worth your while. An auto insurance seminar, with "secrets insurers don't want drivers to know" will be held Tuesday, 6 p.m., at the Radisson Hotel in Newport Beach. Click here for details.

• If you want to stay at home and get educated, a free webinar titled "Six Secrets to Help Your Child Conquer the SAT" is Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. Click here for details.

• The City Council meets Wednesday, 7 p.m. The last meeting went more than eight hours, but this one figures to be a breeze. The agenda is pretty pedestrian, although discussion will include some architectural upgrades around town including a new monument sign at the T at Alicia and Santa Margarita Parkway.

• If you'd like to win money rather than see how your taxes are spent, you can participate in the Elks Lodge Big Bucks Bingo charity event on Wednesday, 6:15 p.m., at the lodge in Mission Viejo. Click here for details

• Spa Gregorie's is having a special event on Thursday, 5 p.m., the Osmosis Colour Cocktail Party. Click here for details.

• Interested in a pet cat? The Forever Home Cat Rescue holds adoption events every weekend from noon to 3 p.m. at Petsmart in Rancho Santa Margarita. A similar event is held at the Petsmart in Foothill Ranch, as well. Click here for details.

• Aviation fans are in for a treat on Saturday when author Michelle Evans discusses her book about the X-15 Rocket Plane. The event begins at 3 p.m. at the Rancho Santa Margarita Library. Click here for details

• Mission Basilica School in San Juan Capistrano will conduct an Open House for those interested in the K-8 facility. The event is Sunday, 10 a.m. Click here for details

• Looking for musical entertainment this week at the Coach House, you'll find Coco Montoya ($15) on Thursday, Savoy Brown ($20) on Friday and Which One's Pink ($20) on Saturday. The latter is a tribute to Pink Floyd.
