Santa Margarita Catholic, often simply called Santa Margarita, provides a rich learning environment that offers…More advanced academic programs, faith-filled activities and competitive athletics.</p> <p>Santa Margarita is the only Catholic school in Orange County that offers an International Baccalaureate program. There are more than 90 clubs and activities on campus, and the school is one of the few to offer an equestrian program.</p> <p>The school has completed two of four phases of expansion, providing aquatic and athletic centers that rival college facilities. The third phase, a $6.1 million academic center, is scheduled to open in spring 2011. The fourth phase of the expansion project, a performing arts center, does not yet have a anticipated date of completion. The campus has a chapel which was renovated in 2008 as well as a functioning television studio.</p> <p>The school operates under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange. In 1998 it received Blue Ribbon distinction from the US Dept. of Education.</p> <p>Athletic programs at Santa Margarita -- the home of the Eagles -- compete in the Trinity League.</p>
