The Answer Delivers an Enthusiastic Concert

About 2,500 people descended on Central Park to hear The Answer to Classic Rock, a not-yet over the hill gang of musicians who delivered one of the best productions in the history of Rancho Santa Margarita's Concerts in the Park.
The Answer, for short, delivered special effects, giveaways, contests and steady banter which kept the crowd as enthusiastic as the performers. They diced their way through 24 songs from A (Only in America) to almost Z (YMCA). In between the opener and the finale were homages to Frank Sinatra, Dire Straits, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Brooks and Dunn.
Basically, they covered the gamut.
In a rarity, the band didn't break for an intermission, playing for a solid two hours and filling the area in front of the stage with dancers early and keeping them there until the end.
The next summer concert is Sunday and features Hot August Night with its Neil Diamond tribute starring Dean Colley.
