Video: Inside The Blind Pig Ribbon Cutting

Watch: Take a look at Rancho Santa Margarita's newest eatery and the party the night before it actually opened.

By Martin Henderson

The night before The Blind Pig Kitchen and Bar opened for business in the Mercado del Lago, owners Tony Monaco and Jarryd Graaff played host to dozens of well-wishers, including the Rancho Santa Margarita Chamber of Commerce.

There were some speeches, some certificates, and a large red ribbon that got sliced by a giant pair of scissors. The wait staff wore shirts with the restaurant's motto: Swine Dining and Craft Cocktails, though Monaco said craft beer will be a hallmark of the business as well.

Take a look at the video to see the inside of The Blind Pig and some of the scenes from the Tuesday event. It officially opened Wednesday morning.

The speakeasy themed restaurant is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The bar is open 11 a.m. to midnight on weekdays and 1 a.m. on weekends.

It is open for dinner from 5-10 p.m.

It is closed Monday.
