SAMLARC HOA News

It's that time of year when your local home owner's association meets to discuss the next year's budget.  Also, those wishing to run for the board must apply quickly as the applications are due October 21. This allows the Election Committee time to review the applications and choose additional candidates if they are not satisfied with those running. This Tuesday, the budget meeting is at 5 o'clock followed by the monthly board meeting at the RSM Beach Club.  You must be a member of the SAMLARC HOA to attend, even though one of your current board members does not own a home nor live in RSM. For that matter two of the controlling members, president Don Chad and Derek McGregor don't even live in SAMLARC, they just own homes and are landlords.  Anyway, subjects to discuss may be fees for non-profit groups (Alzheimers, Cancer's Relay For Life, church events, children’s organizations etc.) to use the parks, bonuses for staff and why two foreclosed homes sold for $400K and were resold just a few months later for $600K by the new owners. Should be an interesting meeting.
